Mr. Garth Pritchard, a native of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, has over the years produced some outstanding work on the activities of the Canadian military. He has reported on Canadian defence issues from such places as Somalia, Croatia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan, and his work clearly shows how he has earned the respect of the members of the Canadian Forces. In 2002, in Afghanistan during Operation APPOLO, Mr. Pritchard gained special access to 3PPCLI Battle Group for a period of three months, recording never-before-seen events and accumulating stunning first-hand accounts and images of the war on terrorism. This emotion-laden series comprises Chasing Shadows, Waging Peace, and the very powerful and moving Friendly Fire and offers an exclusive look inside Canadas military and the harsh impact of war. Chasing Shadows and Friendly Fire first aired on History Television on Remembrance Day 2002, and Waging Peace, which aired with the other two in its debut on the same network in January 2003.

If you own a dog then you are going to have to make sure you perform proper obedience training on them. Especially with a breed of dog such as the Yorkshire Terrier, you are going to want to ensure that they are aware you are the dominant one in the household, and not them. If dogs believe that they are in control of the home then they are not going to respect you or your family.

It is important to start Yorkshire Terrier training when your dog is a puppy so that you can get the best results, but at the same time you should know that you can still get great results if you end up having to start when they are already grown. The first thing you need to do when it comes to training your dog is get them to gain respect for you. They need to understand that you are their owner and that it is their duty to obey you. This certainly does not mean that you have to be angry or vile with them, but you do have to be stern and strict.

Yorkshire Terrier training really does not have to be all that difficult. There are a few aspects in particular that you are going to want to take seriously when it comes to Yorkshire Terrier training, one being socialization. If you do not socialize your dog properly they are going to grow up to be timid and afraid, not only of other dogs but people as well.

To socialize them properly you want to care and adore for them, but at the same time make sure that you give them space and do not play with them constantly when they are young because they need a lot of time to sleep. Keep them to a schedule so that they know what to expect and when, as dogs will really abide by a given routine. It is good for them to know what time they should get up, eat and go to bed.

To avoid Yorkie problems you want to be stern when you are beginning the early training steps, but at the same time make sure that they are always aware of just how much you love them. It is really best to just think about them like a baby, because you want to care for them and adore them but at the same time protect them and make sure that they are going to be raised as best as possible.

Yorkshire Terrier training is best when begun as early as possible in the pup’s life, but if you end up getting an adult dog you can still have great results as long as you have patience and train them properly. If you are ever having problems or just do not feel comfortable with the Yorkshire Terrier training process yourself, then know that there are Very good professional, you can, with the help of this.

MONTREAL — A Quebec comedy duo notorious for prank calls to celebrities and heads of state has reached Sarah Palin, convincing the Republican vice-presidential nominee she was speaking with French President Nicolas Sarkozy. In the roughly six-minute telephone interview released Saturday, Palin and the pranksters known as the Masked Avengers discuss politics, pundits, and the perils of hunting with Vice-President Dick Cheney. “We have such great respect for you, John McCain and I, we love you,” Palin is heard to gush to comedian Marc-Antoine Audette, masquerading as Sarkozy. Palin doesn’t seem to realize she’s being tricked until Audette tells her at the end of the interview. “Oh, have we been pranked?” she says. Seconds later, Palin’s aide can be heard before the line goes dead. Throughout the conversation, Audette drops plenty of clues that something’s amiss. He identifies French singer and actor Johnny Hallyday as his special adviser to the US, singer Stef Carse as Canada’s prime minister and Quebec comedian and radio host Richard Z. Sirois as the provincial premier. Early in the conversation, the fake Sarkozy tells Palin one of his favourite pastimes is hunting. “We should go hunting together,” she offers. “We can have a lot of fun together while we’re getting work done. We could kill two birds with one stone.” Audette then jokes that they shouldn’t bring Cheney on the hunt, referring to the 2006 incident in which the vice-president shot-and-injured a friend While …

An anarchist group is claiming responsibility for firebombing a bank in Ottawa on Tuesday, the 18th of May 2010, and warns of more violence planned for the upcoming G8 and G20 summits. The following statement was posted by the group on an independent media website: Direct Action in Ottawa The Vancouver Olympic games are over, but a torch is still burning. Royal Bank Canada was a major sponsor of the recently concluded 2010 Olympics on stolen indigenous land. This land was never legally ceded to colonial British Columbia. This hasnt stopped the government from assuming full ownership of the land and its resources for the benefit of its corporate masters and to the detriment of aboriginal peoples, workers and the poor of the province. The 2010 Winter Olympics increased the homelessness crisis in Vancouver, especially the Downtown Eastside, Kanadas poorest urban area. Since the Olympics bid, homelessness in Vancouver has nearly tripled while condominium development in the Downtown Eastside is outpacing social housing by a rate of 3:1. The further criminalization and displacement of those living in extreme poverty continues apace. “Royal Bank Canada is one of the planets greenest companies according to one of its own brochures. Coporate Kanada saw fit to include RBC as one of the top 50 in a competition dubbed Canadas Greenest Employers, which purports to recognize organizations that have created a culture of environmental awareness. Yet RBC is now the major financier of …

We recently received a very good question from a foreign exchange student who is moving out of the country. He asked if the credit established in the U.S follows a person, in this case to Canada. Here is what we found through our research.

SSN vs. SIN

In the United States, individuals are identified by their social security number (SSN). There is no other person in the United States with an identical SSN. In Canada, people have social insurance numbers (SIN), which serves the same purpose. Credit bureaus in Canada use the SIN to keep track of individual’s credit reports. Since the U.S and Canada are two different countries, SSN’s cannot be tracked in the Canadian systems and SIN’s cannot be tracked in the U.S systems.

Credit Bureaus

In the United States, there are three major credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion and Equifax. These three bureaus provide credit reports and scores for all individuals with a social security number who have opened a line of credit or a loan. Canada’s credit bureaus follow the same procedures.

In Canada, the three major credit bureaus are Equifax Canada, TransUnion Canada and Northern Credit Bureaus, Inc. In several scenarios, people have found that the United States TransUnion and the Canada TransUnion share the same data in their systems. In result, there may be a possibility of a Canadian financial institution pulling your U.S credit history. This could be good for people with positive credit and bad for those with not so good credit. Equifax may do the same and share their data between countries. We have found that Experian has no effect in foreign credit because it only conducts reports on U.S residents. The same applies for Northern Credit Bureaus and its Canadian residents.

Credit Scores

As far as credit scores go, TransUnion Canada and Equifax Canada have both implemented the FICO system from the United States. The only difference being is credit scores in Canada range between a score of 300 and 900. Scores in the United States use a scale of 300-850.

Scores closer to 900 are a lower risk for the lenders, which could mean a lower interest rate to the borrower. The opposite can be said for scores closer to 300. These scores would be a much higher risk for the lender and in result would mean a higher interest rate for the borrower.

If I do not have an SIN and am a American citizen, how do I apply for credit if I move to Canada?

Just like in the U.S, in Canada it is hard to obtain credit without a credit history. You can walk inside a Canadian bank and explain your situation to them. Some banks in Canada will ask for some information from your U.S credit report. This will enable them to make an easier and quicker decision to issue credit. Some may offer you a secured credit card which will help you build a credit history by depositing a certain amount on a pre-paid credit card and then make payments.

Also, as stated above, TransUnion may have the ability to display U.S credit report information to Canadian financial institutions because of shared data between TransUnion Canada and the United States TransUnion.

What if I want to move to Canada for an extended period of time and then move back to the United States?

If you are not planning on being a long term resident or are not planning on buying a home, it may be best to stick with United States based international credit cards. Credit card companies with affiliates in the U.S and Canada would work best. These cards will work in both countries but will only report to the U.S credit bureaus.

Here is an excerpt from the U.S Department of State: “If you will be abroad for an extended period, you may want to arrange for the delivery of your mail. Some banks and international credit card companies handle mail for customers at their overseas branches. In addition, post offices in many countries will hold mail for travelers under their General Delivery (Poste Restante) services. U.S. Embassies and Consulates do not handle private mail. Check with the embassy of your destination country to see if that will be possible there. A listing of foreign embassies and consulates in the U.S. is available at http://www.state.gov/s/cpr/rls/dpl/32122.htm. “

A safe bet is that if you owe on a debt in the U.S and move out of the country, you will owe on that debt upon your return, as it will be recorded on your credit report. Will creditors try to collect from you in another country? Well that is the golden question. The golden response is, they may have a right to collect. Will that new country consider your U.S credit history? It may.

Regardless of where you move, it is best to maintain a positive credit history. If your new country of residence chooses to look at your U.S credit history you want to make sure it is clear of negative Data, but can not be concluded that the positive credit history of the United States will help the new loans in other countries.
